| Hello!! I'm a 25 year old girl from the US looking for a few long term penpals from anywhere really. I've been penpaling since I was about ten and my letter length to some extent depends on the letters I recieve. If you write long letters you will get long responses. I speak a little of French, Spanish, and German so I can understand bits and pieces, been a long time since I've had any formal classes so I'm a bit rusty. I love learning and am always up for talking about anything and everything, from culture and philosophy to hopes and dreams and the every day things that make us who we are. I'm really into media; music, movies, etc. I'm also into crafty things. I make jewelry, knit, crochet, spin, design and sew my own clothing/costumes, scrapbook, and have been known to make my own cards from time to time. | I am a 31 yr old girl from Spain. I have a degree in English and I specialize in English Literature, but am currently working as a travel agent. I have many interests and all really varied. I love classical music, esp. opera and vocal, and Early is mostly my thing. I love reading as you may imagine. I am actually a Victorianist, but am a lot into fantasy (I love Pratchett, Rowling, Funke, Sage, etc). I am also a lot into Japanese culture. I have watched a lot of anime and read quite a few mangas and have been very keen on Japanese TV drama for a few years now! I have also started learning bits of Japanese at my own pace just for the fun of being able to understand everything a bit better. Have also recently started watching some k-drama as well. This also explains how I "came back" from classical music into modern music - some j-music I love (esp L'Arc en Ciel). I like people with a sense of humour and with an enthusiasm for living. People who keep finding interesting, fulfilling things in their daily life. I don't mind starting a friendship via email, and then proceeding to snail mail. | Hello! I am a 29 year old girl from the north of England looking for a couple of new penpals. I speak English and Swedish and you're welcome to write in either/or/both languages. I work full time and live in a small, historic town. I am crazy about music, especially folk and world; reading books - I am also a bookcrosser -, writing stories, making my own clothes, films (in particular old films from the 40s/50s/60s), travel when I can, a little bit of painting, tea, monkeys; and I'm interested in countries such as Scotland, Japan, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Australia, New Zealand etc... So, I'm looking for one or two new penpals. It's not so important as to which country you come from as I'm looking for friends, not a penpal collection. I've been penpalling since I was maybe 10 years old, so I am a long-term penpaller. I am a little bit of an erratic penpaller these days - don't misunderstand, I do write several times a year. But sometimes it might be after a couple of weeks, sometimes after a couple of months. If you're friends these things shouldn't matter, but if you have deadlines and send shouty emails if you've not had a letter after a couple of months, please don't reply. Also, I like long-term penpals, but I also understand that sometimes after a couple of letters it just doesn't click - nothing personal - so I can't make any guarantees.
