| Hi everyone! Looking for a few reliable *~ female ~* penpals worldwide. Medium to long letters preferred, *~ snail mail ~* only (keeping in touch via e-mail in between letters is fine!). It's not important where you live, friends from near and far are equally welcome. Age isn't an issue, either, but please be 30+! I'm not nitpicky about the medium that you use for writing, so typed letters are totally fine, as long as they are personal. I am 45/f, married, no children. Interests include - but aren't limited to - reading, penpalling, some outdoor activities (biking, hiking, going for walks), yoga, some crafts, music, movies, art, architecture... NOTE: Depending on what's going on in my life, it can sometimes take me a while to respond to letters. If that bugs you and you want to hear back from people within a certain time span, I might not be the right penpal for you. I will always write back, though, and I will keep in touch via e-mail in between letters. If that sounds good to you, get in touch and e-mail me with a proper introduction (more than just a few words! No epic novel required, but more than "hi, want to be pals"). Please put something like "penpal" in the subject line, so I don't mistake your message for spam and hit delete straightaway :-) Thanks, and I hope to hear from you soon :-) | |

| Oh where, oh where, can the long letter female pals be?!?! Does anyone know!?!? I am still looking for some!! My name is Sue and I would like some long letter female pals. I am 36, happily married with one son. I am a SAHM right now and I love it! It seems like so many people want email pals or Facebook friends....I am not one of those people! I prefer a snailmail letter in my mailbox. I have been palling for 27 years...wow..I feel old! I want serious friendships and not pals that just disappear after a few letters. It is sad to find someone that you think will be a great pal, only for them to disappear! If you are only going to stick around for a few letters or maybe a year, please don't waste my time!!! I want LONG term friendships. I am so discouraged with all the time-wasters out there!! If you don't think we connect, then email me and say so! I respect that more than the pals that disappear. I love movies, shopping, magazines, scrapbooking, postcards, stickers, Eeyore, rubberstamping, long letters, and tons more.I am horrible with intros...that is one thing I can't seem to figure out!! I never know how much to tell someone if they are not going to write back!! If I ramble on only for someone to not bother to write back...that just stinks! If you would like to be pals, please email me with Penpals in the subject line. NO MEN, NO PRISONERS and DO NOT ASK FOR MONEY. If you aren't going to bother to READ my intro, then please donkt contact me!! | |

| Allie from England (Aug 2010) | |
| Hello there, I'm a 40yr old Mum living in the South West of England and I'd like to find just a few really good snail mail friends. Ones that I can chat to in letters, not read a diary of what you did last week. I want to get to know my friends on a personal level and share the ups and downs of life, the good bits, the bad bits, the laughs and the dramas. It doesn't matter if you write your letters or type your letters as long as there's a bit of length to them. I'm not a people collector and I don't want to just be a name in someone's address book alongside 50+ others. I have 101 hobbies and interests but we don't necessarily need to share those to connect. Opposites can get on great, yes? I don't speak any languages other than English, I'm afraid, but penpals worldwide are very welcome. |

| Looking for SNAIL MAIL letter writers that can write a decent, newsy, conversational letter. I'm only looking for one or two pen pals who GENUINELY likes to write and share life experiences, everyday mundane things, social issues, and who doesn't easily get offended by tiny insignificant things. I don't want someone who has too many pen pals (I don't want to be part of your collection), or someone who writes short and rushed letters. I like people who put a lot of effort and time in their letters. But please DON'T write pages and pages about your kids. They bore me to tears. Age and location is not an issue as long as you have a good heart and a pen that never runs out of ink. I'm 36 from the Far East, and married to an American. I shall soon move to the east coast of the States in the near future. We have no kids yet but we both like dogs. I'm into art, mail art, art journals, maniacal creativity, poetry, watching movies, fashion and style, keeping fit, cooking, reading (I'm not a book snob and I can read anything from historical novels to fantasy to comic books but I'm not fond of westerns and harlequin type of romance). I love to write about anything. I can either type or hand-write my letters as the mood takes me and my letters are long. Just make your letters ALIVE, conversational and interesting and I will write you forever as long as you stick with me even if I don't reply quickly at times. E-mail me to ask for my postal address. Introduce yourself BRIEFLY (state your full name, age, country and why you want to be pen pals) then I shall give you my mailing address. |

| Sara from Austria (Aug 2010) | |
| I am looking for snail mail friends, who like to write old-fashioned letters by hand. I love nice stationary, pens, stickers and really everything that is connected to penpalling. Yet all this is unimportant if I don't find a true friend. Over the years I have become quite picky to whom I write. Not that I need excited letters, where every time something world-beating happens, but I want friends who enjoy actually talking to me. I want to feel a real connection and a friendship. Not onesided letters - I might as well read a book then. I do have some idea from where you should come from, but if you are a regular writer, write more then a tiny page and think we click, then give it a try anyway. I do have friends from countries I never even considered, yet they are my greatest pals. Well, what I really like is friends from northern countries; Iceland would be brilliant, but also Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, well, you get the idea, right? Once I click with a person, I am sure to be a true friend. My oldes pal is from 1986 and I also have some others that I write to since years. I always loved penpalling and to learn new things, about people and there way of live. My greatest hobby next to letter writing is reading, but I also love nature, music, travelling, my cats (I have 4 and love them), animals in general, my garden (I think), chocolate, ice-cream, snow, Christmas, spring, bubble bath, handicraft and many other things I can't name right now. Would be too much. I am singel and although I do not mind mom's (I do have some pals who have children) I do know that mothers usually don't find enough time for letter writing. I don't mind though if you have kids, as I love them as well - just don't have any - as long as you find time for regular writing. If you know you won't be a regular writing, maybe I am not for you. I want to get to know my friends an build up a friendship. Ok, if any of this is of intrest to you, send me a decent e-mails. Please don't just say hello, I will not get to know you. I need to be able to judge if we have anything in common and I will not learn anything from you if you write "hey, I want to be your pal". So please send an intro e-mail which takes me longer then a second to read. Ok, that is all I can think about for now. |

| Marga from The Netherlands (Aug 2010) | |
| I am a 38 y.o. married SAHM to 2 little girls ( 2,5 y.o. & 1 y.o. ). I would love to have a few more female penpals ( 25 - 45 y.o. ). I have been penpalling since my 16th. I prefer penpals from the following countries : Finland / Sweden / Norway / Danmark / Spain / Portugal / Italy / Swiss / Austria / UK / Canada / Australia or USA. Please NO men / religious / African mail. What I am searching for is a good letterfriendship. Talking about the things you want and things that are happening in your life. If it is school , work or your kids ... all fine by me. I like to write regularly as I am sick and tired of people writing just one or two letters a year. Though I think we do have to feel a 'click' to make a penpalfriendship work. If you want to write ... I'd love to hear a small introduction from you ! BTW ... No problem if you type your letters, as long as it stays a personal letter. No problem to sent back your stamps, just remind me, because ... my brains suck when it comes to that ! |

| Alison from England (Aug 2010) | |
| Hello everyone. I am currently looking for a couple more sincere pals. I have been very lucky in the past and I have found some wonderful friends through this site and with a couple of recent pals having drifted off now, I would like to find a couple of new friends. I am 37 years old and live with my Fiance in the UK, we have no human children but we have 4 cats who we spoil rotten. I love to read with a passion and always have a book or 2 on the go at all times. I am very much a homebody and love to decorate and make my home look nice and homely. I also like to garden and go out for meals. I don’t watch much television now but I do love mainly the American shows such as Supernatural, Ghost Whisperer, CSI Miami and other shows like these. I am a loyal friend so that is something that I am looking for in return. I only have a handful of pals as I want to get to know someone well and create a special friendship which hopefully will last for many years. So if I sound like the kind of pal that you would like to write to please get in touch I will look forward to hearing from you. Please e-mail me a fairly longish intro not just a couple of lines about you so that I can get an idea if we could become great friends over time. Thank you all for reading. Alison x |

| Anna from Philippines (Aug 2010) | |
| Do you enjoy (1) sarcasm and humor, (2) rambling discussions that are both silly or serious but meaningful, (3) having a passion for maniacal creativity, randomness, and madness, (4) writing to someone from the Far East, and (5) vampires? If you said yes to any of the above, please send a magenta turnip and your introduction letter to my postal address above. ONLY SNAIL MAIL long-letter writers please. No e-pals. I DO NOT answer prison mail, short letters, photo copied letters, letters that talk only about kids ... I like different kinds of topics when we write. Will answer anyone, any age, any location. Typed or handwritten letters are welcome as long as they are ALIVE and chatty and interesting and I can READ them. |

| Jenny from UK (Aug 2010) | |
| Hi there. My name's Jenny. I'm happily married with a 2 year old son. Would love to find some like minded pen pals who will write long chatty letters about anything and everything. I hate letters where people say today I did this, tomorrow I'm doing that etc (be warned I won't reply - I don't want to read an appointments diary!!). I love anything cute, stationery, stickers etc. I collect Disney and Brambly Hedge as well as Lilliput Lane cottages. I love the countryside and animals and love nothing more than walking with my dogs. Happy to write to UK pals or worldwide but no men, propositions of marriage (unless you're Hugh Jackman) or asking for money because seriously, I'll help you look for it! On the plus side - hope to hear from people soon :-) | |
| Kathy from USA (Aug 2010) | |
| I would love to have penpals that are interested in all papercrafts. I would like to exchange magazines and other things related. Also I love to write and receive snail mail. Are there crafty things in the US you would like to swap? | |
| Jaana from Finland (Aug 2010) | |
| I’m a 46 year-old married woman from Finland and have a 15 years old son. We also have a cat. I love both cats and dogs, but our flat is too small for keeping a dog. Besides English and my mother tongue Finnish I write letters in Swedish, German, Italian and Spanish (my Spanish is though not very good yet). A short while ago I got a degree that qualifies me to teach Swedish and German, but at the moment I’m still working on another field. My interests include reading books (especially mysteries, historical and romantic books and biographies) and magazines, cinema, writing letters, foreign languages, travelling, taking long walks, history and psychology. I also love spending time with my friends. I’m looking for pen pals especially in Estonia, Sweden, Spain and Italy, but also penpals from other countries are welcome, if we share similar interests. Especially if you like to chat about books and movies. Even pen pals in Finland are welcome and if you live near me and we share similar hobbies we could even get to know in person. I live in Vantaa. I also like meeting my foreign pen pals if I happen to visit their country or they come to Finland. I hope you are 30-60 years old. I prefer female pals, but I might even accept male pals, if they are good writers and are not looking for romance. I’m happily married. I hope you don’t mind that I type my letters. I can’t promise very quick replies as I already have a few pen pals and many other interests besides penpalling, but I promise to write personal letters. Send me a proper introduction by e-mail, so we’ll see if we can become pen pals. If you only send few lines I can’t know if we are compatible as pen pals. I can’t promise to answer to everyone, but if you write long (2-6 typed A 4 pages are long enough for me. You don’t have to write a whole book as I don’t either) and personal letters and we have similar interests, I’ll probably write back to you. We can exchange either snail mail or e-mail. |
